GIVING BACK.
Two of My favorite Non-Profits for Young Women
Corral Riding
Horses are near and dear to my heart. Some of my favorite childhood memories involved horses, I just love them.
Corral is based in Raleigh and Cary, NC, USA this nonprofit equips adolescent girls in high-risk situations through a long-term, holistic program of equine therapy and education to prepare each girl with skills, resources, and opportunities, so that she can gain access to a bright future.
317 girls have gone through their program in 12 years and 88% have gone on to college. Their program continuous to evolve and make even more impact.
Project Soar
I spent time with a group of these girls in Morocco, Jan. 2019. I plan to continue helping these girls in one way or another. Seeing the hope and determination in these girls first hand will impact me for the rest of my life.
Project Soar is based in Africa and believes empowered girls lead to empowered women, able to lift up their families, their communities, and ultimately their nations.
Project Soar in a Box (PSB) provides local trained facilitators with all the tools they need to lead their group of girls through 35 workshops and activities over the course of the school year, as well as providing menstrual kits and lifelong skills.
